As a member, you will have easier access to the necessary governmental establishments and officials, which can help you navigate the legal and permitting process for your film projects. The association offers master classes on various aspects of the film industry, including production, editing, and camera work. These classes are taught by experienced professionals in the industry, and can help members improve their skills and knowledge.

The association works to attract big-budget film productions to the island of Bonaire, and members may have the opportunity to work on these sets as crew members or in other production roles. The association has arrangements with local equipment rental companies to offer discounted rates to members, which can help save on production costs.
Faster legal permits: The association works to streamline the legal permitting process for members, which can help speed up the production process. The association provides opportunities for members to network with other filmmakers, producers, and industry professionals. Access to funding: Members of the association may apply for funding to support their film projects.
The association protects the interests of local creators and ensures that the rights of island creators are not violated by outside filmmakers.
Requirements.
To become a member of the Bonaire Film Association, individuals must meet the following requirements:

Must have a legitimate business on the island, and have a KVK number.

Must be living on the island.

Must be committed to the mission, vision and goals of the association

Must be willing to participate in the association's activities and contribute to the growth of the film industry on Bonaire.

Once the individual meets these requirements, they can submit an application to become a member. The application should include the following details:

Personal information (name, address, contact information)

Business information (name, KVK number, business address)

Information about the applicant's experience and qualifications in the film industry

A statement of interest in the association and how the applicant hopes to contribute to the growth of the film industry on Bonaire.

Once the application is received, it will be reviewed by the association's board of directors. If the application is accepted, the individual will be notified and officially become a member of the association.
As a member you will be able to access the association's resources, attend events and workshops, and apply for funding for your film projects. Also, members have the right to vote on the association's general assembly, and the right to run for the board of directors.
