OUR MISSION

Our mission at the Bonaire Film Association is to empower local media creators and promote the film industry on the island. We strive to make the process of obtaining legal permits and accessing unique filming locations as seamless as possible for our members. Additionally, we aim to provide educational opportunities through master classes and workshops, so that local creators can continue to hone their skills and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the film industry.

We also serve as a protective agent for our members, ensuring that any outside production companies or individuals seeking to film on Bonaire are doing so legally and with the proper permits. In this way, we aim to protect the rights and interests of our local creators while also promoting a sustainable film industry on the island.

Moreover, we understand the importance of preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Bonaire, that's why we make available financial support for the production of films, videos or any other media project that is in the native language of the island.
